Sired by CH. Spotlight's Storm Chaser
Scandal's first litter arrived between 2:20 and 7:15, Christmas morning, 2011.
We have 4 girls, 3 boys, all black spotted
The litter is futurity nominated.

Scandal and newborn puppies in day 1 Christmas portrait, 12/25/11.

Spruce was being VERY cooperative while I had the camera handy.
He and his sibs are 2 weeks old in these face shots.

Grinch and Holly looking cute.

Elf and Tinsel hang out.

Mouse and Kringle ready for a nap.

Today must have been 'Chew on Mom and Sibs' day! Pups are 19 days old.

Scandal gets her face washed by Holly, and Elf chomps brother Grinch's nose.
Who said Friday the 13th was supposed to be unlucky?
We got our first toys today!! Yippee!

Elf is praying...that her sister Holly will stop chewing on her tail!
I knew there was a reason for all this chewing activity! Sure enough, teeth are erupting!
Now is when we start to feel sorry for Scandal. Poor thing.

Elf checks out a new toy for her 3 week birthday.

Grinch thinks Mom's ear is pretty tasty. Mom is very impressed, I am sure.

Elf and Spruce Day 26.

Holly and Tinsel Day 26.

Kringle and Grinch Day 26.

Mouse Day 26.

The pups got their first raw chicken meal this weekend. Hopefully now that they are
having fewer rich meals from mom, and more lean meals, their weight will come down a bit.
They are a fat 4 weeks old now. Their pen will be enlarged again this week, as well, so they can
run around a bit more. Even though I start the pups on a raw diet, the ones going to homes that
feed kibble will be acclimated to that before they leave here.
Holly serenades her Uncle Slade in the kennel 1/25/12.
The pups visited the resident adults for the first time.
Kringle waves HI to Uncle Slade.

Elf claims box for her own bedroom.

Finally it was warm enough to put the pups out on the deck
for an hour 1/25/12. They thought I was trying to freeze them!
Life's tough, ya know?

For their 5 week birthday, I brought out the agility tunnel in the kitchen.
Mouse was one of the first to check it out.
It did not take long for everyone else to do the same.

Finally they wore themselves out and chose the center of the tunnel for a nap.

These 5 week pictures were taken when they had their hearing tests.
They are not pros at stacking yet, but we are still practicing, even though 3 of the puppies
are not slated to enter the show ring.

We had another warm enough day that the pups could go out in the 'puppy yard'
for the first time. The agility equipment was not new to them, but the location was.
They also had their first lesson in climbing stairs. The deck stairs are open backed
so particularly challenging. Three pups made it up and back down.

Here are the pups at 6 1/2 weeks old.
They are spending time outside as long as the temperatures allow this winter.
Left to right: Kringle, Tinsel, Holly, Grinch, Spruce, Elf and Mouse.

Mom has finally decided that the milk bar is closed. She occasionally relents
but there is nothing left to nurse. Bummer. So now we just play with her.

Mom now busts us if we sneak up and try for a snack. But she is fun to crawl all over.

Stacked shots of pups taken on 2/14/12 by Auntie BJ. Pups are 7 weeks old.
New call names are for those pups who have homes waiting.

Storm visited the nursing home for the first time 2/20/12.
He was a bit worried but coped well and will probably be
a good therapy dog when he grows up.

'Jasper', formerly known as 'Kringle', is now at home in
West Virginia with his new mom and dad Rosa and Ed.

'Tinsel', now known as 'Sadie', is at home with
the Grant family, in Cary, NC.
