| Journey was pointed in the breed ring but decided her real careers would be in obedience and subsequently therapy work. She obtained her CD in 3 shows and her CDX with 4 first place wins. Her true calling in life,however, was to wiggle around greeting the residents of The Laurels, a nursing facility, twice a month as a therapy dog with Therapy Dogs Inc. She was a natural at that.
Journey's only litter was all bilateral hearing. Her son, Leroy Brown, was shown in the breed ring until he got too tall, so he dabbled in obedience and agility, earing a CD and NA along the way. He is also a therapy dog. We are very grateful that Journey was with us until she was 15 years and 3 months old. Rest easy Mamacita! Lots of people miss you! |
