Garth came to live with the Rockstar spots in December, 1999. He had been hit by a truck and brought in to the veterinary clinic where I was working 5 weeks previously. His right rear leg was badly injured but was saved thanks to Dr. BJ Parsons, whose fondness for country music prompted his name. No one had claimed him so the rest is history. It took a full 2 months for the wound on his leg to heal. Garth stayed with us for 10 years. He was a certified therapy dog with Therapy Dogs Inc. and visited the nursing home on a regular basis. Sadly we lost him to bone cancer 12/9/09.
